South Campus Library
The South Campus Library, University of Delhi was established in 1973 to facilitate access for South Delhi Residents. It moved to its present location on Benito Juarez Road, near Dhaula Kuan, in 1984. it is housed in a four storey separate building, in beautiful surroundings on an elevated site at the centre of the Campus and offers a congenial environment for study and research. The Library which acts as a learning resource centre for teaching and research programmes of the 20 departments of the Campus, is one of most richly equipped libraries of Delhi University in terms of resources, services and infrastructural facilities. The collection of books reflects both classic and a contemporary touch and has a research orientation.
Most of the library services are being leveraged through an integrated library portal and the library collection is completely computerised. The total collection of the library well exceeds 1,50,000 books and bound volumes of periodicals. The total seating capacity of the Library is about 350, with reading halls on all the floors.
