LIBRARY RULES
- Membership is available to the following:
- Teaching staff of colleges and university departments
- Postgraduate students enrolled in university departments or through colleges
- M.Phil. and Ph.D. scholars
- Research associates, postdoctoral and senior academic fellows
- Non-teaching staff of university departments
- Special members, including retired faculty
- Library membership cards issued by the Central Reference Library are valid across all major University of Delhi libraries for book borrowing.
- Membership applications must be submitted using the official form available at the library.
- Members must notify the Library of any updates to any address, college, program, or subject details.
- A library clearance certificate is mandatory before appearing for annual or final examinations.
- Entry into the Library is permitted only upon presentation of a valid University ID card.
- Mobile phones and bags are not permitted on library premises.
- Library cards are non-transferable and must only be used by the registered member.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited within the Library.
- No food or beverages are allowed inside the reading or stack areas.
- Maintaining silence is essential and must always be observed in the Library.
