Central Science Library
Established in 1981, the Central Science Library (CSL) is one of the premier academic libraries under the Delhi University Library System, dedicated to supporting research and scholarly engagement across the multidisciplinary sciences.
Over the past four decades, CSL has evolved into a vital academic resource, continually adapting to meet the changing needs of the scientific community. Today, it offers seamless access to a wide array of print and digital resources, including scholarly journals, e-books, and subject-specific databases—enabling users to stay current with global research developments.
CSL primarily caters to the academic and research needs of the Faculty of Science, including its teaching staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students (M.Sc., M.A., B.Tech.), certificate and diploma course participants, as well as research scholars. It plays a significant role in empowering this diverse user base by facilitating informed inquiry, supporting academic writing, and nurturing an environment of intellectual growth.
The library serves not only as a repository of knowledge, but as an active partner in the pursuit of scientific discovery and academic excellence within the University of Delhi
