Delhi University Library System (DULS) is a federally managed combination of physical and virtual collections and associated information services, wherein on the one hand, the traditional system of library holdings is maintained and on the other hand, ICT based services are implemented. 

Established in the year 1922, the University Library shifted to its present locale in 1958 and developed into Delhi University Library System around 1974. Presently there are 34 libraries in its fold. DULS is accomplishing its task of reaching to wider academic community. It is one of the largest academic library systems of the country in terms of collections and services. The core DULS collection is computerized with the provision of a centralized Web OPAC facility to cater to the information needs across various disciplines. The system is actively involved in advanced web based information services and promotes the use of e-content in teaching, learning and research by conducting innovative Information Literacy Programs (ILP) focusing on e-resources, research metrics- Impact Factor, h-Index, academic integrity, etc. for the benefit of scholars at large. It is also making efforts in developing tutorials to make the community proficient in the use of online e-content. 

DULS supports the academic activities of students, researchers and teachers of the university through Delhi University Campus Network which has in its ambit both the campuses and all the colleges affiliated to the University. In nutshell DULS endeavors to carve out an approach and create an atmosphere which is conducive to high quality research and other academic activities in the university.
